Victoria Lambert and Dunit Pistol Pete
made the very tough Non-Pro Finals at the 2008 NRHA Futurity.

Victoria Lambert was very excited to make Non-Pro Finals at the 2008 NRHA Futurity.
“I have missed making finals all year at every event,” Lambert said. “I had plenty of horse power this year, but I think I missed finals because I was not riding with enough confidence. It was really great to have a coach like Sam that made me believe in myself. Since so much of this sport is mental, having a talented trainer that also instills confidence in you is a must." Dunit Pistol Pete is the first home raised horse that Lambert has shown. Carl and Victoria Lambert sent the colt to Brent Wright in his 2 year old year and he just missed making Brent's Open string. "I was actually happy when Brent told us in September that Pete would not make his open string, how good can it get to have a horse that can do all the open stuff when you are a non-pro rider", Lambert stated.
Sam Smith started helping Victoria in July of this year with another horse, and he was happy to help Lambert get ready for the futurity with Pete. "Getting this horse ready for Victoria to show at the futurity was a pleasure, as it is always great to have a horse that stops huge every time and can do all the other parts too" Smith said.
Carl and Victoria Lambert are very excited about the upcoming year as they are final going to be able to see the fruits of their endeavor as breeders. They have Memorex, a 2006 stallion by Dunnit In Hollywood out of their mare Memorable Affair, in training with Sam and he seems to be super talented. They also have eight horses from thier 2007 foal crop that are in training and they are very excited to see how their first full foal crop will do in 2010.
