Sam Smith and Startimes Last, owned by Hicks Quarter Horses, marked a 222 in the first round of the NRHA Open Derby. This score secured a spot in both the Open Derby finals as well as the Intermediate Open Derby Finals. Additionally, Sam and Startimes Last won the first go of the Intermediate Open Derby. winning the first round Competing with a field of great horses and riders, Sam Smith was pleased to make finals on this mare.
