3.02.06 - SAM SMITH A STAR AT WIMPYS LITTLE STEP DERBY !

Sam Smith and Miss Brim Star, owned by Veronica Phillips, we stars at the 2006 Wimpy Little Step Derby, held in Springfield Ohio. Besting a field of great horses and riders, Sam Smith won this event for the second straight year, toppling some great horses and riders in the industry. Coming in behind Smith was Shawn Flarida on three horses, Fudge Pop, Einsteins Revolution, and Hollywood Dun Star.  

6.23.06 - SAM SMITH REPEATS WIN AT KENTUCKY HORSE PARK

Sam Smith wins the Reserve Championship in the Open Maturity at the 2006 Kentucky Horse Park event on Sailin Starlight. In 2005 the event was called Fiesta in the Park and this year the event was renamed Clayton Woosley Hall Of Fame Derby. Miss Brim Star carried Sam Smith to the same win last year, and this year Sam Smith sailed smoothly to win the Reserve Championship again. Sailin Starlight is owned by Bronco Billy's, LLC.
